What are some famous ones? I know there is Chopin, Liszt, Tchaik, Cliburn... What else?
And why don't we have like Mozart, Rachmaninov, Beethoven competitions? |

You can get an application i think, and then you send in midis of you audition i think. then if you get chosen, you get to play at arectial for a round. then you play a schubert sonata. then you play a quartet or something. then you play a concerto. Thats if you get that far. |

Yeah, I've heard of that. There is also a competition, for people around me, U.A.E, Bahrain, and other arab countries. I'm gonna participate this year.

There's a Russian lady who has a piano competition here in New Brunswick.
It's Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey piano competition. I don't know if it's world famous, but a lot of people internationally participate. |
