Hello all!

I've been working on music history for a few months new, and I've come to the point where I really need to crack down, before I end up doing nothing and pay to write the exam and bomb it horribly.

This thread is for myself (or anyone else who has a question pertaining to music history) in hopes that someone else may know the answer. The questions can be about any genre.

All help will be MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Questions - Handel
1. How did the text for Messiah differ from the texts of most of Handel's oratorios?
a) it was written in prose
b) it was made up entirely of rhyming couplets
c) it was composed in sonnet forum

2. Who were some of the leading singers engaged by Handel during his time at the Royal Academy of Music?

3. Define orchestral suite.

I've been looking a lot through the internet, but I can't find anything... plus not all sites are trustworthy.

All help will be greatly appreciated, believe me!

Ehm, I'm so sorry that I don't really know that much more than any other member, so I can't answer any of these very well.

I'd say that an orchestral suite is similar to any suite for piano, but for more than one instrument, or an orchestral ensemble. That sounds kind of reasonable.
