This is just for fun, but pertains to piano playing (as it will possibly reveal a little about our "piano personalities," or, at the very least, our fantasies), so I thought it would most appropriately fit here.

Anyway, this is the premise: as a classical piano performer, you obviously want people to get to know you. One of the best ways to catch someone's attention is to develop a good catchphrase or description to let people know what to expect. How do you want to advertise yourself? "The pianist upon whom Mozart smiles!" "Bach's genius and Chopin's hands!" "He thunders with the lightning of Rachmaninoff sent from atop Mt. Olympus", etc..(ok actually those are getting a bit out of hand compared to what I originally intended). Of course those sorts of things would be an exaggeration to most anyone, but it's not about what's true and what's not--it's about how you would be described in an absolutely perfect world. Imagine walking onto CNN for an interview (or some station like that) and having the announcer introducing you as MAH's twin...well you get the idea.

Well, after all of that, my own description is rather plain...but nevertheless it'll hopefully get the thread off to a bit of a start. I would like to be known as "Cziffra, reincarnated"

That's a good way to back up my avatar, too.

edit: oh, and btw, please refrain from saying something like "well, truthfully, I would only like to be known as myself,"--while I appreciate that kind of sentiment (and, heck, we can't possibly expect to be known as anything but ourselves), such a statement would miss the point of the thread, which is to give a general idea of what "sort" of pianist we would like to be. It's kind of like my "school" post at chopinfiles..not surprisingly, I came up with them at the same time...
