Oh yeah. I was noting that my two faves were quite similar to each other in their remarkable style of build-up towards the climax, similar colour textures etc. Remarkable.

I don't know what it is about Liszt but I never think to learn any of his pieces. Yet, I do enjoy listening to them. I love the Gondola pieces....very dark and creepy almost. And Totentanz....hehe this piece is awesome.

Hmm, I too have many favourites but this is it briefly:

-Piano Concerto No. 2
-Symphonic Poem No. 6: Mazeppa
-Eine Faust Symphonie (Or something like that)
-Transcendental Etudes 2, 8, 10 and 11
-All of the late quasi-atonal pieces

I just love Totentanz...and all of his Hungarian Rhapsodies, even if they are a bit similar. La Campanella and Nuages Gris also stick out.
