I've got a rec of his Danse Macabre, but it has a huge amount of reverb on it, maybe you have a better one Wink.

Bach's Chorale Prelude No.3("Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland")

Liszt's Consolation No. 3 in D flat

Schubert-Liszt's Ständchen transcription

Schubert's Moment musical in F minor

Schumann's traumerei

IMO, these 5 pieces are not very hard to play at all. Most people in this forum should also be able to play all these pieces without any problems. They contain very little notes, and are played very often by pianists. However, the way Horowitz played was absolutely astonishing. He sounded these pieces as though we all will never be able to imitate his way of playing. It's such a majic !

I just got horowitz's "The magic of Horowitz" cd today that comes with a dvd recording of mozart pc 23. I must say he was a very funny and cheerful old man! He joked and laughed heartily with those around him without even the slightest I-m-a-great-pianist-u-know attitude. I like the man Very Happy and of course, his playing too Wink

That's pretty good deal for 2 CDs plus one DVD.

BTW, his Schumann in that CD is supreme.

yes, it's not very expensive, and the cd said his Schumann's Traumerei moved listeners to tears at the Moscow recital in 1986...

I've seen the video. Not only at the Tršumerei the people were moved to tears.
