What keyboard music of Bach do you guys like? There's a whole bunch: inventions, (english, french) suites, partitas, Well-Tempered Clavier, Keyboard concerti, Goldberg Variations, etc. I like all of those I listed. Is there any more? I put "etc." just in case there is more. The Bach keyboard music has a certain flavor to it that makes it so appealing to me. It's dance-like, energetic, and contains virtuosity as well.

I love Bach piano concerti and yet I can't find a single sheetmusic of it. There are also partitas athat I like, specially no.6 in Eminor, it's soo beautiful. Then there are the fugues and passacaglia and cantatas,.... poof, I like everything.

I like Bach concerti also! They are so melodic and Bach-ish. I also like his well tempered clavier, probably the greatest set of pieces in baroque era. And two-part and three-part inventions are nice, the former good for teaching material.

OMG! I love Bach! He & Mozart are my favorite composers. I love the six trio-sonatas for organ, all three books of the Clavier-Ubung, all the Preludes, Fantasies, Toccatas, Passacaglias, Trios & Fugues for organ, the transcriptions for the keyboard of the concertos by Reinecke & Vivaldi & Albinoni & others, the Aria & Canzona & Alla Breve & Pastoral for organ, the infamous Kleine Harmonisches Labyrint for organ, the exciting Pedal-Exercitum BWV 598, all the chorale-preludes, the two-part inventions & three-part sinfonias, the English & French Suites & the Partitas from the Clavier-Ubung III, the Ouverture in French style, the Well-Tempered Clavier, the sole Partita BWV 832, the various dances of BWV 833-845, the nine preludes & fugues of BWV 894-902, the Chromatic Fantasia & Fugue in D Minor, the Fantasias & Fugues BWV 904-906, the Fantasias & Fughettes 907-908, the Toccatas BWV 910-916, the Fantasias BWV 917-920, the Nine Preludes BWV 921-924a & 925-926 & 928 & 931-932, the two Capricci, the Applicatio, the Sarabandes with Partitas BWV 990, the two airs with variations in the Italian Manner, and plently other unlisted pieces, all without reservation. Boy, am I a nut .

It is full of fresh vigor. The facility of the modulations are especially fantastic, the numerous sequences never mundane, and the beauty of the melodies and of the harmonies composed from the kinetically charged polyphony are always thrilling. Another wonderful piece for analogue I would recommend is Handel's Fantasia In A Minor for the clavier . There are many recordings of it available, but if you want to listen to it now, here's a link: http://www.music-scores.com/handel/composer.php. (Go down to where it says "Fantasia In A Minor" and click on the sibelius scorch sign .) It is not nearly as fast or complex, but it similar in many basic ways.

Beethoven, Bach didn't write any piano concerti. They were keyboard concerti.

You are correct, TheRach; Bach's concertos were expressly written for the harpsichord, long before he ever had any access to a Silbermann fortepiano. Interestingly, Bach was never truly enthralled by the new invention called the pianoforte, though there is a famous anecdote of him improvising fugal variations on a Silbermann fortepiano on a theme devised by the emperor of Prussia, Frederick the Great, which later became the famous work The Musical Offering, which some consider Bach's greatest legacy.
