Lol, I thought you were talking about Artur.
I agree, Rubenstein is a genius.

Wowsers. I actually had never heard anything by Rubenstein other than his piano concerto. Great sonata! Anyone know of good recordings of it?

Indeed Anton Rubenstein was one of the greatest pianists that ever lived. I would love to hear a recording of Rubenstein though there was never a recording of him since they didn't have that kind of technology back then.

It's lovely! I'm sure a live recording of his E Minor Sonata would do it more justice . It has a rich sonority, very nice motivic and melodic development, and nearly flawless part-writing; the virtuosity is also very refined and noble, enhancing the piece's expressive profundity rather than doing the opposite. As quoth Comme, "it's awesome!"

Rubenstien is one of the greatest pianist. But his compositions are usually neglected. Thanks for sharing this sonata. Though the MIDI can't really play it too well. Anyways, it is really nice piece.

Yeah the MIDI can't really bring the music out fully but it sounds quite good. There's a lot of "FURY" in it.
