Well, Horowitz wrote it so you'd expect it to be the best.
The composer's performance is always the best...unless you're Godowsky.

I just doenloaded the sheet music to the RAT transcription and it looks intriguing. Thanks for the mp3s. it'll be nice to get to listen to it.

as for the Alla Turka:
although well played, I must say I don't like it all that much.. lol
little variation in dynamics.. makes me like eh
I'm just way too used the traditional sound of the original score.. maybe it's just cuz it's Mozart, cuz I don't really mind other transcriptions.
nevertheless, interesting to listen to
Horowitz Transcription of HR2:
I like this one though.. the technique is wonderful, and here the dynamics are much better (to moi).
the piano's sound is too bright for me. which brand was it (were they)?
anyway, good listening ^_^ gracias

I like Horowitz's own playing of his own transcription of the HR2.
ANd check out his HR15 and HR19
and Volodos' HR19 is cool too.
