Have a listen to my melancholic nocturne:

Tell me what you think.

Philip: go to http://www.geocities.com/benburchcompositions and then you can find the nocturne, in a link that works, amongst other things.

As I am a horrid composer myself, I can't offer any real comments. It has a good melody and flow, I find, and although the subject of titles is rather trivial, I would recommend in place of "nocturne," "barcarolle" just because that's more of what it sounds like, to me.

I tried that before and now I tried it again -- still doesn't work.

Odd, it worked perfectly when I first did it, but now it's not working for me either...

The problem may be Geocities; in fact, I'm sure it is, as I've had personal experience. It'll often randomly decide that it won't properly host one's things, showing "the page can't be displayed" things, etc. Sucks indeed. :?

Geocities is crap when you get down to it.

Eitherway, as for your Nocturne in D Minor, I loved it. It was downright mournful, but at the same time exquisitly beatiful. There was also an element of suspence to it. I don't know why you say you suck at composing, but you don't. There are thousands of movies that would have scenes needing a song like that.

Good question, I think I may have misread Goldberg's post as your own.
