Toccata

Postby Rach4 on Mon Apr 04, 2005 12:20 am

Toccata for piano, Just under a minute long, Five pages. I wrote two pages last night then the remaining three pages in the early afternoon. I wrote it away from the piano, very quickly and the sounds that come out aren't exactly what I had in mind but I think it is still okay. It is almost a perpetuum mobile but there is a lunga pausa towards the end. I might be able to scan the sheets if anyone wants them.

And no I can't play it.... yet

A most interesting piece. The only comment I have is maybe work on it a bit more, expand it if you want, that sorta thing. Other than that, did you mean for the ending to be that abrupt?

I'll give it an 87.

Well it was originally going to be a Toccata and Fugue, then I decided on just a Toccata,
but I see what you mean, it is very short. I'll post the Toccata and Fugue later when it is done.

Thank you for your comments. :)

I wasn't worrying about difficulty, when I wrote it. Although It probably is unplayable at the midi speed.

Hahaha, that's an insanely random sounding, yet coherent masterpiece. I love it, and da SDC would too. 8)
