Hey all, there was a post on "the longest piece," but what about the shortest piece for the piano.

There is a movement in one of Beethoven's Bagatelle (on pianosociety), and it is "12" seconds.

Anyone know of a piece that is shorter?

i once got a collection of preludes and i swear they were 1 line each prelude!! that must be like 10 seconds de slow ones

omg! it doesnt says the name of the composer :o,i think they might be some kind of small studies :obut they are 24 preludes and each of them have only 1 line :o

me? I'm talking about music, themes, melodies, all compiled into a short piece...therefor the shortest piece you know of.

no no, of course they are melodies, themes that... but i think they were made like studies, like chopin studies, but the composer must have made them for begginers
