More Chopin...

Postby PianistSk8er » 09 Nov 2008, 18:33

Another recording from last year that I'm... unveiling...

It's far from my best work, but I'm curious to hear your opinions on it!

It's Chopin's Polonaise No. 1 in C-sharp Minor, Op. 26 No. 1.

Thanks in advance!
Nico

I'm surprised no one has responded. Maybe if you'd given the post a more meaningful title?

I thought this was a very sensitive rendition of the piece. You underrate yourself Nico!

The only real issues I have are of the technical sort...the piano is out of tune and there's a fair bit of "clipping" in the recording. Besides that, I really like the performance!

I really hope to hear you on a tuned instrument, you deserve to be heard with a well-tempered voice!
Per Sapientiam Felicitas!

Thanks for the comments guys.

I will try my darndest to record some stuff this summer. Probably some Chopin mazurkas and a few other odds and ends. It's so hard to find a good piano for recording purposes though... :(

You should submit your recordings on Piano Society and return from your very long hiatus.
