Chopin Prelude Op. 28, No. 14: SATB, guitar, bass, and drums

Postby johnlink on Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:41 pm

Here is a recording of Chopin's Prelude No. 14 as I have arranged it for SATB, guitar, bass, and drums. The recording was made in concert at the Alvin Ailey Center in Manhattan on June 8, 2007, as part of the dance concert The EveryWoman Series with choreography by Lori Belilove.

All the musicians are listed in this thread about the concert and my arrangements of Chopin's 24 Preludes: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1637&p=18207#p18207

Enjoy!

Awesome Job! I Love It, It's Got almost like A Latin Feel to It. Very Cool!

Maybe it seems like that because it is so syncopated. I think of it as having a gypsy sort of feel because it reminds me of a gypsy band I heard a few years ago.

Who would have thought that a Chopin prelude could start with a drum solo!

That is what I would expect, but Ringo hated drum solos and didn't play one with the Beatles until the final song on the final album.

Yes That is Correct. (Sigh) If only we could all be like Ringo.
