Chopin Prelude Op. 28, No. 5: guitar, bass, and drums

Postby johnlink » 28 Sep 2007, 10:55

Here is a recording of Chopin's Prelude No. 5 as I have arranged it for guitar, bass, and drums. The recording was made in concert at the Alvin Ailey Center in Manhattan on June 8, 2007, as part of the dance concert The EveryWoman Series with choreography by Lori Belilove. I was the guitarist, Trifon Dimitrov was the bassist (5-string electric), and Devin Gray was the drummer.

Look here for more information about the concert and my arrangements of Chopin's 24 Preludes: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1637

Enjoy!

Thank you. No. 5 is one of the most challenging for both the guitar and bass.

Devin played a standard jazz kit: kick, snare, mounted tom-tom, floor tom-tom, hi-hat, cymbals. I don't know what brand.
