What was his time frame? What style did he compose in?

he is a unique composer, aimilar time frame to rach, except more modern style.

tonal music, often very rustic and folk like, and often FURIOUS.

wait, who is Neilsen, can some supply some samples to listen too, see if i should look into him.

Welcome to the forum, Chelsea!

Nielsen was a 20th century Danish composer. If you have iTunes you can listen to some 30 second samples in the store. His works are actually quite interesting...

You must listen to his Aladdin suite. It is one of my favorite orchestrated works.
