Yes. I Probably would of never heard that piece if you had not of posted it.

It was one of Horowitz's favourite encores. (Try to find one of his recordings if you want to hear a truly special performance of the piece...) In any case, I'm flattered!

You're most welcome. Oh Horowitz, if only I had his touch (and technique!)...

So I'm new here I've been playing piano with a private teacher for 6 or 7 years and I just got Chopin's nocturne in Eb minor (opus posthumous) done in 4 weeks but I need another piece for school and my professor wants something harder from the romantic era. advice anyone?
Oh and just out of curiosity how many of you have actually played Rachmaninoff's third?

Nice to hear from you, aout4!

Unfortunately I am also playing less piano recently. School is taking up so much of my time.

Lately I was playing "Fabel" and "Grillen" from Schumann's Fantasiestucke.

I've been playing Chopin mazurkas from op. 50 (all three) and op. 24 (all four).

I have not had very much time to practice lately, but when I do have time I work on Beethoven's Piano sonata No. 15 in D major.

I don't know the transcriber, but it's a good piece to stumble through. The last section is giving me some trouble.

(Side note: I have never played a piece without making a mistake. Even the most simplest of compositions, I make errors.)

I gave my skills a try with Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 7...I couldn't play the first measure, so I gave up. Such beautiful music is out of my reach and will remain there. :(
