Or others may want it to last as long as possible so they don't have to get to Scarbo. At least that's how it was for me the only time (and I won't do it again) when I played all three live.

Otherwise, playing too much Bach in a row can be rather taxing. His g minor toccata is probably the most frustrating thing ever to learn and memorise.

I'm adding Debussy Poissons d'or to a list of pieces never ever to be played live again.

Also, if you play Prokofiev's toccata live, do not wear bulky clothes / watches / chains around the arms that prevent efficient crossing of hands (like ahem someone did once). That is one of the top ten lists of my worst piano moments so far.

I haven't played it yet, but I'd LOVE playing it, I'm sure. Favourite piece of Ravel.

Very few things scare me on the stage, except... I would be petrified to open a recital with Chopin etude Op10 No1, No2 or No5; Chopin's Scherzos or Beethoven's Hammerklavier.
