La Cathedrale Engloutie

Yeah, I'm having trouble with this piece a little. I'm very much able to play it, but I can't play it too well (though, well for my skill level, as my teacher said). Anyways, are there any things I can do to make it sound really good and get that Cathedrale Engloutie sound out of it?

Um, practice?

Seriously though, maybe listening to some recordings of it will help. Impressionism is something I still haven't completely grasped yet either, and what's helping me the most is listening to a LOT of recordings.

Giving specific advice obviously isn't feasible, since you haven't posted a recording. Good luck with it though.

Yeah, all the recording of it I made are really bad quality, and I may get advice I don't need if someone listened to it.

I'm not sure about you, but when I learned this prelude, I played sections with half note beats so that the beat changes to the half note... this was apparently the way debussy played it. I prefer it this way. A the beginning, I also voiced the high e's. These are just some suggestions for interpretation.
