well, an interesting I just discussed w/ my teacher-

Most ppl play these quickly using rotation. The right hand goes in a counter-clockwise rotation, and the left hand follows along. This is useful for the right hand, but the for the left, it is completely unnatural. The left should be going clockwise while the right goes counter-clockwise! It's much better... and it can be applied to any scale or arpeggio, because it helps support each set of digits (outer 5,4,3; middle 4,3,2; and inner 3,2,1). Hope this is somewhat in accord with anyone who reads it.

You are so right! I discovered this today. First I didn't play with rotations at all, and it went very bad. Now I play with counter-clockwise rotations for both hands and my right hand has improved a lot, but my left hand didn't improve at all. Playing with clockwise rotation for the left hand goes so much easier!
