Grieg Concerto

Postby taylorwcn on Fri Jun 23, 2006 1:11 am

Hi, I played the concerto about a few years back. The only tip I could give is to start very slowly and play all notes in forte. Speed will come naturally and so will the clarity. This is especially true for the trill parts in the bridge section.

Musically, just listen to recordings. The styles of the other pianists will eventually pass on to your playing.

Hopefully this helps

Peace

Any one have advice, or can you tell me the way you like the grieg to be played... I'm doing this popular concerto in a competition of all concertos and if I really want to succeed it has to be up to par with everyone... so please give your interpretations or anything!

thanks!
