Yet another chopet question:

Which is easier, 10-8 or 25-5?

I'm guessing 25-5?

I would say 25/5 too. i haven't played either, but i guess that the constant right-hand runs in 10/8 would get pretty tiring, especially with that somewhat awkward fingering...

25/5.

10/8 is horrible difficult for most people's techniques, but 25/5 is usually manageable. Depends on how you have been taught and what you practice.

btw, Are you trying to learn all the chopets?

10/8 is far easier for me than 25/5. I find the middle section of 25/5 to be very difficult. The motion patterns in 10/8, are similar to the 10/1 and 10/4, pieces I played before attempting the 10/8. I find the technical patterns of 10/8 to be natural to my hands. On the other hand, my performance of 25/5, although adequate, feels very awkward.

p.s. I've noticed with my recent practice of Chopin's E minor concerto op.11, that all of the Chopin pieces in my repertoire have improved, alot.
Per Sapientiam Felicitas!
