Any Liszt fans here would be advised to check out the site at http://www.lisztworks.com which is an initiative of the rather recently emerged Scandinavian Liszt Society aiming to establish a complete free catalogue of Liszt's works. We have a long way to go, and so far there are few recordings (though we have rather many recordings coming up reasonably soon). However, the catalogue is comprehensive and the site also contains other Liszt related media (also in development).

Be sure to also contribute anything you want to the project such as texts, recordings etc.

Some updates to http://www.lisztworks.com, including recordings by skilled pianist Paolo Marzocchi (who has also worked with Hyperion's Leslie Howard).

Erik--I've been meaning to ask you, do you know where to buy the New Liszt Edition books? I found a site that listed all of the pieces, but as far as I could tell there was no place given for purchasing the books...

But I assume they are also outrageously expensive, right?

I've been dying to have a copy of some of his sacred piano works and more obscure operatic transcriptions, for starters, and Dover is only bold enough to publish the popular Wagner transcriptions and....hmm, a few other things, it seems...but nothing too extraordinary.
One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.

You know, some people just have natural talents-like some people play the piano but aren't very tall.
