Your favourite Brahms Symphony

I've fallen madly in love with Brahms' four symphonies. I can't seem to choose my favourite, although I've narrowed it down to the first and the fourth. I tend to prefer the one I've listened to most recently, whichever one it happens to be...

For argument's sake, I'll choose the fourth!

The first movement's passionate ending is so dark and fiery. It blows me away every time. The second movement's soft melody flows in and out of dreams I've never had before. The third movement is fun and playful. All the worries from the beginning seem to be lost. But then, the fourth movement reminds us that there is still something lurking. There's no escaping it.

Ah, I just love it. The 40 minutes always fly by...

Number 4 is the best in my opinion.
