I chose the toccatas as well, although there are a number of other works not listed here for keyboard that I'm absolutely in love with. His transcriptions for keyboard, fantasies, french overture, caprices...
It's all good.
In general though, I have a favorite range of BWV's- the ones in the 900's!
The toccatas are amazing- they're not his most developed works, tis true, but they're very compeling!
The Chromatic Fantasy as well (shame on you for leaving that out!

)- definitely not the "monstrosity" Gould considered it, haha.
