I don't find the cross-rythms to pose too much of a problem but recently, i've had some trouble with the repeated D# and C# in the fifth measure where the right hand first jumps in. I sometimes end up skipping the one of the notes or not striking it with enough force. Would it be the most sensible to use a 4-2-3-2 or 3-2-3-2 pattern?
Also, the latest attempt at correctiing the name of the piece lacked an "i".
The spelling is "Fantaisie Impromptu".

I use 4-3-4-3. It's not perfect, but it's how I learned it.

This happenes to be one of my favorite pieces. I'm playing it in an exam in a week so I have it almost perfected.

I've been thinking of learning this piece for awhile, and my piano teacher likes what I've learned of it so far, but some of the phrases discourage me every time I whip out the Chopin book. So, instead I'm thinking of the Minute Waltz, lol.
"Music is the silence between the notes."
-Claude Debussy
"Art is not an end in itself, but a means of addressing humanity."
-Modest Mussorgsky
"Music is an outburst of the soul."
-Frederick Delius

The cross rhythm.. took me like 3 days to master..
You need to preservere and play it real slow and then get slowly faster..
And i've heard this piece so many times i don't know if i like it.. But i want to like it.. it's a great piece :D

I've played this piece for around a month. i can get the cross rhythm right but somehow i am not able to get the right touch for the top note accent in bars 17 plus. Either it sounds too harsh or too soft. I think i might be using the wrong technique by shifting the weight of my right hand to the little finger and then banging on the note. anyone have any advice?

lol now that my college audition process is finally over (yay!), I'm getting this piece ready to play at my high school talent show... hahah after years of ignoring this piece due to it being overplayed... it's not too bad :-)actually, it's pretty pretty

no doubt though, the 3rd impromptu is still my favorite. :)
